The National

To watch Slow Show, Fake Empire, Runaway and Green Gloves live could have been the best night of my life. When I found out last December that The National will be having their concert here I booked my tickets right away and tweeted every human being I know who will be delighted to know such awesome news. Though I admit I have my favorites that I constantly listen to and maybe songs I don't even know the title and lyrics. Berninger's voice has this effect in me I couldn't put a finger to describe it--I think their songs are not the type you will fall in love after hearing them for the first time they just grow on you. The whole time I was home (Philippines) I listened to Boxer before I sleep, when I was watching our dog (he's dead now) play in the garden, when I had my nails done, when I was browsing magazines and when I was bored. I had a crazy phase that I listened to the songs every single bus-rides. If my iPod could just talk to attest for me.
